Act Quickly: Application Deadline is September 7

Local Initiatives Support Corp. (LISC) is the largest community development nonprofit in the United States. LISC administers a grant program that provides capital to small businesses facing immediate financial pressure because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants are available up to $20,000. LISC Small Business Grants do not need to be repaid. Women-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned businesses have priority.

The grant money is available to pay wages and benefits, inventory for on-going operations, past due bills, payables (rent, supplies, etc.) and other operational costs.

LISC opens the program for online applications for one week at a time. The Round 6 application period opened August 31. The application deadline is Monday, September 7 at 11:59 pm. You can get more information and apply on LISC’s website at https://www.lisc.org/covid-19/small-business-assistance/small-business-relief-grants. The application collects basic information about your business. Information is provided in Spanish, Chinese, and many other languages.

This is the sixth round of grant applications. There will be future rounds. But, each round is open for only one week, so swift action is required!
